Display Resolution and Color Depth Settings Apply to All Users
My 13 year old daughter likes to fiddle with the desktop and appearance settings in Windows Vista as she did in previous versions of Windows.
So I look for a way, as the computer administrator, to lock the display settings, or at least contain them to just my daughters profile.
The problem is that "When you log on as a user and set a screen resolution, and then log off from and then back on to the computer as another user by either using Fast User Switching (FUS) or by logging off, the screen resolution remains the same for each user."
I found a reference to earlier versions of Windows where Microsoft says "This behavior is by design."
On a forum I found a clunky sort of workaround, but that's not for me.
I guess the solution is to tell my daughter not to change the display settings since there doesn't appear to be a way otherwise.
